Analysis of grain extract spiked with 150 pesticides: Unrivalled analyte by analyte and analyte by matrix separation

The GCxGC-TOFMS is fully automated system for unattended operation. No need to construct SIM or MS-MS windows. Full mass spectra provided by time-of-flight mass spectrometer combined with high quality mass spectral deconvolution enables confident analyte identification. Synchronized with Automated Peak Find, mass spectra for each analyte is automatically extracted free of interferences from the system background, matrix background, and coeluting analytes. Structured work flow of LECO ChromaTOF brand software automates the process from fully automated data acquisition, identification of target pesticides, its quantification toward to final summary reports.


Detection of flutriafol in grain at 4 ppb. Matrix (linoleic acid) interferes with flutriafol peak and its quantification masses. Thanks to second dimension separation and mass spectral deconvolution, the peak is separated from interference and can be reliably detected, identified and quantified.
